Comment: I had been looking at this mower at Walmart and it was SALE PRICED at 249.00. I ordered through Amazon and received free shipping and no tax for 160.00. Needless to say I am very pleased.

Summary: Awesome Item for the Price 2007-09-09
Comment: Yard Man has always been known for their top quality and dependable items. I am very satisfied with this Yard Man mower I purchased. Mowing with the Self Propelled just made it more fun. It cuts the grass with it's 21 inch blades so evenly with ease, thanks to the powerful 6.75hp's idle doesn't even plummet when cutting longer grass. It seems like a small Hummer, big engine small body. I'm very happy with my purchase and for the price, it was all worth it. In any mechanical tool as long as you maintain it, check the oil regularly, lubricate the parts that are prone to corrosion, clean it well, check the plugs and I am sure this Yard Man will last me a long time. More power to the makers, Briggs and Stratton and to Yard Man, Thank you!

Summary: Cheaply made! 2007-08-29
Comment: I bough this Yard Man Mower in 2001 and it is falling apart. It has too light of metal gage for a housing, the handle broke, a metal bracket broke off under the house and was destroyed. The only thing I can say good about it is that the motor starts on the first try and that's about it. I would not recommend this brand to anyone.

Comment: I just received my mower a few days ago, but I have to say it is the easiest mower to start, and use, that I have ever had. After it was assembled (which took about five minutes) it cranked on the first pull!
cuts grass like a charm, and the bag is easy to empty. I don't know how long it will last, but I hope it will last a long time. I keep my mower in the shed, out of the rain, etc. and hope that if I take good care of it, ie, changing the oil and so forth, that it will be a good one. I just had to add that Amazon.com ships the fastest that I have ever seen an online store do. This product was shipped Monday the 13th, and arrived Wednesday the 15th...Way to go Amazon!!

Summary: Easy as Pie 2007-08-13
Comment: This is the first self propelled gas mower I have ever owned. I used to use an electric. Got the machine and assembled it in about five minutes. Added oil and gas, pushed the "priming" button three times, and pulled the cord once. The engine started up nicely and I mowed the lawn without even breaking a sweat. Can't speak to the longevity of the machine since I just got it, but so far it is flawless.
