Summary: OK mower, a few items to be aware of 2008-09-23
Comment: Pros:
lightweight and easy to push. This isn't your grandfather's push mower.
No gas needed!
very quiet!! :-)
low purchase price.
easy to put together.
Cons:
Any stick or twig will stop the blades. You MUST rake up or pick up all sticks before use.
wheel adjustments can slip if you don't carefully tighten the orange adjustment knobs
Overall:
I'd buy it again. It's a great mower, totally eco friendly, and very quiet. But I have a small yard (just over a quarter acre), so the quirks aren't too bad for me.

Summary: Customer service? (are they still in business?) TERRIBLE 2008-09-06
Comment:
We purchased Model MM-1 last summer (07). Loved it until it broke this spring(08) under normal use. It came with a two year warranty. We contacted the company through phone (full mailbox) and email. Received an automated email response a month ago that "issue will be resolved". Have heard nothing since. Voicemail is still full and email contact no longer working...absolutely no satisfaction and no way to get in touch! I would stay away from this company even though I love their "green" aspect.

Summary: cuts well! 2008-08-20
Comment: I have been using an old Clemson reel mower, from the 50,s, heavy and strong, I think you could drop it off a cliff without damage.
I thought I would try some new tech though, and got the sunlawn.
Now, you cant mow like you would with a gas hog mower, you have to keep on top of the lawn, and remove sticks, but the sunlawn does a very nice job, it does not miss much grass when set high like most reel mowers do, its very quiet (grease the rollers) and REAL easy to push, its almost too light. I like everything about it but the handle, its not sturdy at all, nor are the mounting point gizmo's. But it does do a nice job, and if you dont have real thick tall grass, its easier then a heavy gas powered mower.
I have a bit over 10,000 sq feet of lawn and it takes me an hour, and is a lot less work, easy on my back.
The Clemson takes a bit longer, as you have to go over the lawn twice.
No dust at all, its almost silent, so you can mow at 8am without disturbing anyone, its actualy FUN to mow with these mowers.
Everyone who has a reasonable size lawn should have one, even if only to use when you want to mow early before it gets hot out.
Also, the grass seems to like the sharp cut, rather than the torn tips the rotory mowers leave...
This mower just needs a better handle to be great.

Summary: Had High Hopes 2008-08-13
Comment: The positive; 1) it cuts the lawn to a height of 0.4" the lowest I have seen, 2) A great workout.
The negatives; 1) price, 2) twigs stop the mower often enough to become a nuisance, 3) the wingnuts that came with the product for the handle sections or handlebars are useless. I used my own bolt and nuts. 4) you must cut the grass at least once a week during the growing season or it will be impossible to push, 5) Around thick roots on big trees it will not cut well, 6) Must pass at least 3 times to get all the grass blades in that section.
