Product Review

Whether your yard is large or small, with wide-open spaces of lots of landscaping and trees to trim around, there's a Snapper walk-mower for you. Choose between push mowers and self-propelled models. With Snapper's famous "3-N-1" convertibility, your mower can be converted from side-discharge to mulching to bagging (most models). When it comes the Snapper walk-behind mowers, the only real decision to make is choosing which is best for you.

just purchased this mower. first time use, 10 minutes into it, and damn, the back left wheel broken off at the central hub. after inspection of the wheels, the hub is made of quite thin plastic and was simply poorly designed to handle grass cutting. snapper cut corners with these wheels. that is correct, i was on an even grade, with no pot holes, or other types of obstructions that would cause the wheel to break off. the engine is powerful and the self propelled strong. i just can't get over that the wheel broke with immediately new use. damn.

i guess the good thing is that it is under a 2 year warranty. i wonder how many times they are going to replace the wheel with the same piece of crap that is on there now?

This mower is like going from a GEO to a BMW compared to what I was using. Then again when Briggs and Stratton owns a product like they due snapper you're in good hands.

The engine runs strong when it comes to cutting high grass with very little to no struggle at all thanks to it's powerful 7 foot pound torque engine. The engine is also pretty fuel efficient as well. I finished my whole 1/2 acre lawn on one tank of gas. With my old lawn mower which was also 7 foot pound torque engine i had to fill up my gas tank 1 1/2 times to finish my lawn with the same size gas tank as this new lawn mower.

The self propelled drive system works great, with a squeeze of the handle you can go from slow to medium to fast with very little effort. Rather you are short, avg or tall there is an adjustment to fit your needs with the handle height adjuster that works great to the fit your comfort level,

The mulching system is top notch when it comes to mulching, with very...Read more

I just received my mower. One wheel was already broken in shipping. I have owned Snapper mower products for years. Unfortunately, cost cutting measures have caused Snapper to cut too much in the area of wheel construction. The mower sits flat on the bottom of the box during shipping. The wheels are attached. I am certain that the wheel was broken during transportation. If a shipper dropped the box hard, the wheels, that take the full force of impact, will not survive. There was no damage to the box in shipping. I am thinking that there will be many incidences of broken wheels on this mower. In defense of Snapper, I called and received not one, but two replacement wheels at no charge. I dont think the extra one will be enough. You think the guy at Snapper knew something he thought I didnt know. I may need a truck load of wheels.
