Remington RM202A 19-Inch 12 Amp Corded Electric Side Discharge/Mulching Lawn Mower With Single Level Height Adjust

This is my second corded electric lawnmower. It is easy to put together and is very powerful. My backyard grass was about 1/2 foot long and it cuts through without any problem. I like the side discharge too. Over all it is a very good lawnmower with a good price.

I used this mower for the first time today on our small front and rear yards. Even with some uneven terrain, it cut well and did not "ground out" on low spots, which actually really surprised me. We have St. Augustine grass, which gets pretty thick when full grown, but this mower cut through it just fine. Since it is the beginning of the growing season down here for yards, I will have to wait and see if the mower can handle the St. Augustine grass as it gets thicker. Right now, it worked great and was simple to set up and use.

I purchased this mower as a replacement for an ancient Black and Decker mower. I was looking for a mower with a handle which could be flipped over rather than turning the mower at the end of each row. I could not find such a mower so I settled for this model. What I did not realize is that the mower handle is basically of fixed height and that for someone who is taller, older and less flexible, the handle is too low and awkward. With a little modification the handle has been freed of its restraints and the mower is easier to push. I hope that with some more design modifications the handle will be able to flip over. The cutting and mulching aspects are adequate but not superior. I did not choose the model with the bag as the weight factor is important to me.
