Product Review

The minimower is an innovative and environmentally friendly electric lawn mower suited for the urban homeowners with small front and back yards. It is the only durable and powerful 12 amp mower on the market that is ideal for small city lawns. At only 13 inches wide, it is as wide as a standard laptop. It is lightwieight (29 pounds), and easily stored on a shelf or in a closet. <<<<<<<<<< This stylish mower is versatile and powerful and can easily navigate tough terrain. Its unique 2-in-1 design hardened steel-blade mulches and creates a lift that carries away grass clippings as you mow. Easy-to-use feature include height adjustments, rear bag catcher, safety lever, foldable handles, extension cord loop and hooks. This requires an outdoor-rated extension cord, which is not included. *With the Razarsharp mulching kit (Not included) this mower will allow for use without the catcher and to recycle the grass clippings.*

So I did what most of you probably have which is read the review of this item which was a bit light and wonder if its really that good? There are no details past its light, cuts well, has a metal blade and its cute enough for the ladies. Ok so I read this one and I reviewed a lot of other mowers in the price range as well as over, corded and non, etc. I even skimmed Consumer Reviews. Somehow I kept coming back to this item and I did look at it for weeks before I pulled the trigger. So the end result? I am super pleased but there are a few caveats to consider.

So why don't more people by this as opposed to the Black and Decker or other brands? I think part of it is that you have to pay shipping and its also a big unknown from a brand perspective. I know because I did spend a lot of time looking at the other reviews and wondering whether I should just get that? Well I walked into lowes, saw how huge the other mowers were and I read the bad reviews on both amazon and CR for...Read more

This lawn mower is perfect for my lawn and is light weight and easy to use. Well constructed with real blades unlike the cheap plastic ones you see in other models.

I bought myself the Razarsharp minimower as I saw a lot of positive reviews and I liked the idea of a compact mower for my rather small front yard.

The mower arrived in a timely manner, but immediately was a disappointment.

While assembling it became clear the screws that hold the handles onto the mower where not drilled properly, so they don't line up! I had to redrill these i order to get the handle to even fasten onto the mower. Another post here mentions the plastic coating on the handle being an issue, It isn't, you simply thread the bolts through and that was fine.

I go out cut my little lawn and within 15 minutes the mower hits a tree root and stops. It started up again so I tied to continue mowing only to discover that the mower was trashing my lawn. Apparently the "metal" mower blade is incredibly soft and deformable so that the blade bent into a position where it was digging into the ground after hitting the tree root...Read more
