Summary: A BIG MISTAKE 2010-08-07
Comment: I recently moved into a home with Bermuda grass and learned the best way to mow Bermuda is with a reel mower. I purchased this product from Amazon and since it arrived, nothing has gone right. First it was shipped with the wrong clutch cable. We called McLane and they acknowledged it had been shipped with the wrong cable (their excuse - new product - whoops!). A new cable arrived 8 days later, but once again, it was the wrong cable. So I basically started mowing my yard with the clutch cable self rigged to the mower. The initial cut was way too low. The maximum cutting height is 1.5 inches but what it doesn't say in the description (nor on the McLane website) is that it is advised to use a McLane dealer to adjust the mower to the highest level - very complicated! Furthermore, my yard is very hilly and the even cut that was promised by owning a reel mower simply doesn't exist. I'm very disappointed and feel I've been taken advantage of. I intend to try and get my money back.
