Versatile Cutting System Meets Your Needs
The Lawn-Boy 10642 is ready to mulch, bag, or side discharge, depending on your needs. Without the bag, the mower will mulch the grass and leaf clippings back into your lawn. Alternatively, you can collect the grass and leaf clippings directly into the bag, leaving your lawn neat and clean.
For further convenience, the height of the blades is easily adjustable by setting the oversized handle grips to one of the large notches on each wheel. There are 7 different heights available between 1 and 4 inches, so you'll be sure to find the perfect setting for your lawn.
Designed with You in Mind
Built with you in mind, the Lawn-Boy 10642 has plenty of user-friendly features. To start, a one-piece handle increases maneuverability, and the lightweight, 20-inch steel cutting deck is perfect for mowing in tight areas.
Additionally, the top-mounted bagging system makes it easy to empty and replace the bag by simply inserting or removing the grass bag handle from the two notches at the base of the mower handle.

It ran smooth and pretty quiet! I did not use the bag and it mulched the leaves into little pieces! It works really well! I am very happy! Update...Here it is April 2010 and I uncovered the mower, put some fresh gasoline in it and turned the key......It cranked right away! I thought that I might have to baby it since it had not been used in several months!! No such thing!! I researched lawnmowers and decided to go with the 10642 Lawnboy. I ordered it so my wife would be able to use it as well. It is a great mower, but it was delivered with a defect that either points to poor production quality control or inferior packaging from Lawn-Boy. When we received it, the front wheel bracket was badly bent. It didn't appear obvious that the box was damaged causing the wheel bracket to be bent during shipping. It was either assembled with a defective part or the packaging needs to be redesigned. Note: This particular defect is not a "One Off" issue for Lawn-Boy as I did additional research to confirm this. We had the option to send it back (not really an option) or take it to a Service Center. We took the mower in and 5 days later got the mower back.
