Did not read the instructions, just filled it with the oil supplied added gas and mowed. Very easy to use and start. To switch from the mulching to bagging to side discharge is very easy. It is new and has only been used once but so far it is great and the cost seems reasonable. Will update if any problems.

I bought this mower 2 years ago used from a service shop for $99. It did not have its bagger but I was in a pinch and figured I could get one later. Well, this turned out to be a great mower! Started every time on first or second pull and boy does it suck (cuttings) well. I could not find or order a bag for it, no one could locate the part (or the mower) so I used it without a bag, then I even 'made my own catcher out of a plastic bin' I liked this mower so much. It mulches and side discharges quite well also. Later I was able to find a bag catcher from an old Craftsman mower that fits perfectly! The only two enhancements I would like for this mower design would be that the 6.00 engine be upgraded to 6.75 and that the wheel height levers be designed to include fit between the notched settings, to double the cutting height choices. I am writing this review in hope of upgrading workmanship and info. package? Received mower and check the bottom inside of pan cover for surface protection. It has a dusting of paint, I am going to disassemble blade and other items and apply a protective coating to prevent rust. The info package notes 20 oz of oil needed and they send a 18 oz bottle? Engine info pg.7 English section is in English first paragraph and the second in a foreign language? The mower assembly info. is "if yours has it" Why not give each model a letter or number tag to let you know which one applies to the one you purchased.
