I've long been a fan of Fiskars scissors and blades for craft projects, and we've wanted to get a push mower for our smaller yard for some time. This turned out to be an excellent choice and works much better than the old push mower I had 15 years ago.
Assembly was very easy - my husband read the clear, 17-page manual once through and then put it together in less than 15 minutes, and that was with a six year old 'helping'. It was very simple, but you might want to know in advance that it requires 11mm and 18mm metric wrenches to put this together, not everyone has those on hand.
Then we took it out to the yard to try it out. Although it is a much heavier mower than other push mowers from years ago, it is much easier to push. In areas where the grass was of average height, it just sailed right along. Our yard has some uneven growth areas, so there were also some areas where the grass was higher. In the higher areas, pushing the mower was more of a workout,...Read more

Best Reel Mower I've Ever Owned,

I've always been a fan of reel mowers. Back when I bought my first house, I went and just bought the cheapest one figuring they were probably all created equal. This Fiskars has been hands down an incredible mower. The assembly was a piece of cake. The mower weighs a little more than other reel mowers, but seems to push much easier, and slices through the grass without problems. It tackled some taller grass that would have given my previous mower problems, and the large front wheels make it more versatile for my uneven yard. Many reel mowers seem to be aimed at cutting putting greens, but this one seems more like an every-man reel mower. If you're in the market for a reel mower, I'd tell you this one is definitely worth the investment, and I know I'll be using it for years to come.

Fantastic push mower, but only nominally cheaper than StaySharp Max.,

I bought the Fiskars Momentum reel mower for my dad for his 75th birthday. I was surprised to see this one show up in Amazon Vine so I had to get it to do a comparison.
The Fiskars Momementum is at the top of the line model in the world of push mowers. So, how does this slightlhy lesser model compare? With an MSRP of $229.99, it is only slightly less expensive than the Fiskars StaySharp Max model (formerly known as Momentum). Aside from the $30 savings, I will go over the key difference between the two reel mowers. Hopefully this review will help you decide which one you'll spring for.
--Ease of Pushing--
The StaySharp Plus was very easy to push compared to push mowers of the past. And comparing to the Max model, it seems just as easy, despite the differences on their boxes. The Plus claims to be 40% easier to push while the Max model is 60% easier to push although it doesn't indicate what it's comparing it to. Previous models? Conventional models is...Read more
