I went with the regular cord versus the battery for a number of reasons. First, cost. Second, the battery is good for about 2 years only, and they are expensive. Third, you don't have to worry about the charge and waiting etc. And last but not least, the corded version is much lighter. That battery weighs a ton, folks!
Go with the corded - we have lots of trees and you just learn how to deal with it.
